The sun is warm and golden. Cloudbear spies tiny Treekitty. She is sitting on top of the tallest tree in the forest. She s wearing a tiny bamboo leaf hat and holding a fishing rod. A very long fishing line is submerged in the deep, blue lake. Cloudbear decides he needs to help Treekitty so he finds himself a fishing rod and crouches beside the lake. The fish see Cloudbear s giant shadow and stay far away. Cloudbear waits an entire afternoon but doesn t catch even one tiny fish. Cloudbear rubs his head in frustration and as he looks up at Treekitty, hiding among the branches, he has an idea. I m such a fool! I should have climbed to the top of the tree! The fish will not see me there! He begins to climb. The branches rustle and Treekitty looks down at him with wide eyes and a stiff tail.
